Today I'm reviewing a new addition to the Green People range - the UK's first certified Organic DD Cream*.
A lightweight Daily Defence tinted moisturiser that fights blemishes, has an SPF 15 to defend the skin, colour corrects AND has anti-ageing actions. Basically I had to give it a go and was so quick when replying to Naturisimo that I think I gave them whiplash.
I was initially a bit worried about picking a shade as we have Light or Medium to chose from, and in the end went for Light. Green People have their own advice on this which helped me when picking a shade...

Medium - Full Coverage
Pump a small amount onto the back of your hand
Use circular motions with a foundation brush to lightly buff the product into the skin
Use more product where required, e.g to cover blemishes and dark circles.
The cream is easy to work with if you are quick. I find I have to dispense from the pump and then get to it blended in before it dries. It doesn't go patchy or anything if you take longer to apply but I found I have to blend a bit harder which I don't like to do as my skin gets fussy if I touch it too much.
I really like the coverage, its not going to conceal any major spots but then again it doesn't claim to. It instead sort of softens imperfections out and just makes you look good.
I've used it on its own, under foundation and with concealer and it holds up all day regardless of these additions. It's pretty great to be honest and although it's pricey at the £35 mark I would be happy to re-purchase, especially during the summer with its SPF15 properties.
The packaging is in line with other Green People products which makes for neatness but at the same time, means that you can't see when you're running out and need to get a back up ready.
You can pick up your own Green People DD Cream from Naturisimo for £34.95.

I was really impressed with this too, just wish there were a few more shades. It wasn't a perfect match for my skin x
ReplyDeleteOuch! £35! It does look and sound nice and it's great to have a UK option but I love my Physicians Formula CC cream :-)

I've been thinking of picking up my own Physicians Formula CC or BB Cream. How would you describe the coverage and feel?
DeleteNow I am completely intrigued by this new release! I am always down for a good tinted cream (BB, CC, DD whatever they call it), the most important is the formula and the correct shade! Will give it a try in the future for sure.

Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI've been looking out for a review of this for a while - does it make the skin look dewy at all? That's the look I'm searching for right now and would love to get some "green" foundation but this seems to lack coverage for my needs.
Thanks!

I'd love to give this a try! Especially since I tend to lean towards lighter products during the warmer months.
ReplyDeleteGreat review! I love this DD cream. I know it's pricey, but in summer I think it's the only thing I'll wear. xx
