December Empties

I want to say that I haven't used that much this month but actually it is only just "not much" compared to what I might usually go through!

Intelligent Nutrients Harmonic Shampoo & Conditioner - Loved the scent of this but click here for my full review

REN Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash - I really liked using this shower gel, it has such a delicate rose scent which made it a pleasure to use. I have so many shower gels backed up so I probably won't buy this one again for some time

NYR Ginger & Vanilla Body Lotion - This sweet, spicy lotion was perfect for Christmas. Full review here

NYR Palmarosa Facial Wash - This 100ml bottle must have lasted me 6 months. Just one tiny pump was enough to wash my face and leave it feeling clean. Again, I have so many face washes stashed that I won't need to buy again for a long while

bodhi Neroli Lucé Face Oil - A stand out product for me this past year. This small bottle made a huge improvement to my skin. Review here

Herbfarmacy Lip Conditioner - I have loved using this lip balm, it feels good and it smells good. Will buy again

VMV Hypoallergenics Know-It-Oil 100% Organic Virgin Coconut Oil - I have used the super oil for everything and althought I have used coconut oil before, I have never had the same results (not even close) than I have with this brand

Indie Lee 100% Squaline Oil - A small sample but one that lasted ages as I needed such a small amount. Easily absorbed and great at reducing wrinkles. Will buy again but not just yet

Caudalie Divine Oil - Boy oh boy, this body oil was just as described - divine! A beautiful scent and so easily absorbed. I want to use it again already

Gwdihw Nail Wizard - Perfect size pot to keep by the bed and give my nails a bed time treat. Really liked this product but wont buy again at the moment as I have loads of hand balms to use up

S.W. Basics Shea Butter Cream - Super rich cream that was actually too much for my skin. I used it at night on my legs but won't be buying again

Peppy Galore Diva Face Moisturiser - a light an airy moisturiser that seemed to last for weeks! I would buy this again

Freyaluna Shine Control and Soothe the Sensitive Facial Tonics - These are perfect travel sized toners and both of them worked well

Freyaluna Soothe the Senitive and Regain Your Balance Facial Moisturisers - These were both a bit too heavy for my skin, even with it being Winter so I don't think I will use them again

Celtic Herbal Company Soap sample - a lovely little soap that lathered well and left my hands feeling clean but without drying them out

During this month I am taking part in #NoBuyJanuary so I imagine that my empties post for January will be full of sample sized products!

What I've got on my bed-side table

I thought I would do a couple of posts on what I am currently using. Today is what I have on my bed-side table and next week I will do one about what I have in my handbag.

I'm a huge music lover and have this rather old but faithful DAB radio with iPod docking station within easy reach. I will usually have BBC 6Music on but I love that I can dock my iPod at any time and listen to whichever new album has taken my fancy that week.

Leading nicely into my current book, Morrissey's Autobiography. The Smiths are my all time favourite band and I just love Mozza. The Autobiography has been a long time coming but was eventually published last minute by Penguin Books, which I think is fantastic and just like him. The book is very lyrical and reads just like a song, it makes it quite difficult to really get in to but I am enjoying reading small chunks at a time.

I always have a hand cream and lip balm on my bed-side table, the brands change constantly but I love what I am currently using. bodhi Cocoa Cacoon Lip Treatment is the perfect night time lip balm as it works at a really deep level of the skin, see my full review here. For my hands, I am loving Gwdihw Hand Balm which I got in a SoukSouk box. This is such a rich, nourishing balm with a zingy lemon scent.

I take Viridian High Five Multivitamin & Mineral Formula daily and the reason I buy these ones in particular is that they are free from any fillers, including talc, and are vegetarian.

From Neal's Yard Remedies (they had to be included!) I have a Remedy to Roll in Night Time. I have repurchased this time and time again and especially love it when I am away from my own bed.
Also from NYR I have an intensive Nail Balm. Another really zingy balm that I use mostly for my toe nails.

Lastly, a very recent addition to my bed-side table are NEOM's Tranquillity Travel Candle and Room Mist. I will be posting a full review later this week but these are really luxurious products and I just love the room mist.

So that is it! What do you keep on your bed-side cabinet?

Some of my favourite minis from this month

Over the last month, I have been working my way through my trail and sample stash that all of a sudden went from manageable to out of control. I've not bought anything new and I'm trying to use up what I have rather than saving things up.

It's been great going through and discovering new products and these have been some of my favourites.

Intelligent Nutrients Harmonic Shampoo & Conditioner - I have been loving using these two. The shampoo lathers really well and leaves my hair squeaky clean and the conditioner is thick enough to, well, condition my ends! The scent is incredible, a mix of spearmint, peppermint, rosemary, cinnamon and cardamom oils. I have really fallen in love with this duo.

VMV Hypoallergenics Know-It-Oil 100% Organic Virgin Coconut Oil - I have used the super oil for everything - from post-shave moisturiser to face balm and to help combat the dark skin under my arms. I have used coconut oil before but I have never had the same results (not even close) than I have with this brand. I will be buying a full size as soon as I have scooped out every last bit!

001 Precious Finds Pure Active Peel - I had to break this bad boy open after reading review after review of this; I'm so glad I did! The mixture is a little strange to apply, being more grainy than anything I have used before. Once lightly massaged across the skin though, it stays put. I have used this a few times now and my skin has never looked better. I've followed it each time with....

Indie Lee - 100% Squaline Oil - Another item that I had to open. I have loved using this wonderfully light oil after my face peel. I am sure they work fantastically on their own but together my skin has cleared up and my fine forehead wrinkles (shhhh, don't tell anyone) have noticeably reduced.

Gwdihw Hand Balm - A deeply moisturising balm that has been a night-time saviour. Coconut oil, olive oil, beeswax, cocoa butter, calendula and lemon essential oil make this a really zesty treat. I have been applying this before bed and wake up with soft hands and nourished nails.

What minis have you been using lately?
