Recent Make-Up Haul

I don't know what's gotten into me lately but I made three orders for make up within a week and I'm not really a make-up kinda gal.
I think I've turned to make up because I'm trying not to buy anything new skincare-wise before going on a field trip to London in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, I thought I would share with you what I've been ordering!

Natural, mineral and vegan make up with everything from foundation to oral care.
I really miss using liquid eyeliner for nights out. I'd heard so much about the quality of TANF Gel Liner ($5.75) that this was the main reason for my order. I picked up one in That Black and Midnight Plum because I'm partial to a purple eye-liner.
That Black is outstanding; a true black not one of these watery black. 8 hours of wear and its still exactly where I put it - no smudging or flaking here!
I was initially a bit disappointed in Midnight Plum. I thought it would be a dark purple but it is more brown with purplely gold flecks. I quickly came around to the colour though and now I love it. It's a great alternative to brown liner during the day if I want a bit of glam to my neutral look.

Fix-It ($4 for 1oz) is an eyeshadow/eyeliner spray sealant and foundation hydration mist in one. I have yet to put this to a real test with my oily eyelids but for a day to day test it works well.

Aaand, Try All The Blushes ($5) - I was in desperate need of a new blush but didn't really know where to start. This pack contains 27 samples of their blushes and I've had so much fun testing them out. There are a few shades I'm favouring at the moment but as I don't use blush too often, I don't think I'm going to need to buy a full size any time soon!

Order #2 - Silk Naturals

I blame this on Katie from Katie Vibes. Katie is a big Silk Naturals fan and after reading and re-reading some of her posts, I had to give them a go myself. I could have spent a fortune on pallets and eye liners but managed to keep it under $20 for customs.

I wanted to give their foundation a try so ordered the Vegan Ivory Foundation Sample Kit  for $3.95. This comes with everything you need to mix your own foundation to make sure you get a perfect match.
I've only just received this so have yet to have a play! First impressions, bit concerned at how dark the samples are.

I fell in love with the colour Dixie for a lip stain so had to add it to my basket. At only $4.50 I think this is a steal. The colour is gorgeous, a warm peachy red that can be built up to a brick red with more coats.

I saw on the side bar of the website that they do Fragrance Rollers so I picked up the scent Potion - Blackcurrant and Pomegranate- Juicy, sexy and romantic. I love it and so does my husband! The scent is fruity and fresh, it lasts well (better than my Acorelle testers) and is in a handy size tube for portability.

Back to TANF. I couldn't resist the Diva Sticks any longer. I picked up Creme Brulee and Fawn; only $4.88 each which works out at about £2.90!!

I also bought their foundation sample set Try Every Shade of Foundation in Your Range for $4.60. I received 25 bags of pale to medium shades to swatch with. Like with the blush, as I don't often wear foundation, I think this is going to last me a good amount of time.

I'm hugely impressed by the quality of products and also the cost of both of these sites.Shipping times for both sites was speedy - my first TANF turned up exactly one week after I ordered, Silk Naturals in 5 days and my second TANF in just over two weeks.

I feel like I've got a really good selection of make up now, rather than just my eyeliner and mascara. With these three orders and my Shiro Cosmetics eye shadows, I think I'm set for a while....until I see something new anyway!

Whew - that turned out to be a bit of a longer post that I thought!
Have you used The All Natural Face or Silk Naturals before? What did you get?

    1. Brija and Pumpkin and Poppy are both closed at the moment! Maybe that's why I've managed to go a whole week without placing an order for new make up! lol xx

  3. Haha I placed an order for TANF too but I've held off so far on Silk Naturals purely because I'm off on holiday on Sunday & then the field trip tour but if that wasn't happening I would totally be splurging on Silk Naturals right now! I want one of their brow gels & their lip shades are too pretty xx

  4. I always hold off buying makeup as I wear it so rarely I know it will just sit in a drawer going mouldy. But I do like seeing what other people buy and between you and Rach, you are keeping me well entertained thank you! PS I have made an exception for the GoT eye shadows, just couldn't resist those x

    1. OOooh which shades did you get?! Before these orders, I had very little make up as I just hadn't found natural alternatives to my favourites. I still don't wear a lot so I'm glad I only have samples as I know I'll have a bit if I need it without shelling out on a full size and it go out of date xx

  7. I need to check out The All Natural Face for the skincare as I'm not much of a makeup wearer, always good to hear about your experiences when ordering from these companies :)

  8. Love TANF some of their products are a huge hit with me, and some are misses. I've tried the Fix It spray with their gel eyeliner and it did last a lot longer throughout the summer months. So far my favorite products from TANF are their cream blushes and face food!
