Gorgeously Green Gathering 2016 - A Round Up

Another year, another incredible Gorgeously Green event (even if I do say so myself!).

Sarah (SugarPuffish) and I came away from last year and within a couple of weeks, had already booked the date and venue for 2016. There was such a wonderful response to the 2015 event that we felt we had to capture that momentum and start planning extra early for 2016.
We found our wonderful brands and the rest is now history!

Grace from Totally Organic sponsored the event, so I'll say a very warm Thank You to her now!

The day started with Joanna from Mallow & White talking about how she swapped working for the BBC to making skincare products with 6 or fewer ingredients. Her capsule range consists of three ranges: Restore, Revitalise, and Soothe and within this they each have a Cleaning Oil, Face Mask and Facial Oil. I have a Soothe Face Mask to try, but I have my eye on both the oils too!

Next up we had Laura from Evolve Beauty and S5 Skincare. Laura spoke about her background and how she came to develop the Evolve and S5 lines. I loved hearing about the recent changes to the Evolve packaging and the reasoning behind it. Samples of some of the best selling products were passed around the table and I made a very long shopping list thanks to it!

After lunch, Alessandra from Terre Verdi gave an inspiring presentation on her life and how she developed the brand. I felt transported to Sicily and connected to the world, all while sitting on my butt in a conference room in the south of England! Alessandra had us label and pour our own GoodOils Cleaning Oil, which was really fun. I never knew how difficult it was to get the labels straight on the bottle!

The last speaker of the day was Carly from Beeutiful. Carly is first and foremost a beekeeper, and so passionate about it too! Using only what is surplus to the bees requirements, Carly makes all her products with her own bee by-products. It was fascinating listening to her and how she cares for her bees. It added a different layer to the day.

The Goodie bag! We also had a 20% discount code from Totally Organic, but I haven't pictured it here incase you pinch it!

We had additional products kindly sent to us to include in the goodie bags from:
Natracare - a sample of their Make Up Cleansing Wipe
Veeda - samples of their naural cotton towels and tampons
and Maggie Anne - who sent 10 of their 6 free gel effect nail polishes which we included in the raffle.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day; we were able to see old friends from the Green community but we also had a few beauty bloggers attend who were new to natural beauty so it was exciting to be able to share the day with them and hopefully introduce them to a whole new world!

Another thanks to our brands and sponsors for their contribution to goodie bags and prizes for the charity raffle. We were able to raise £38 for Friends of The Honey Bee, a charity which aims to fund research, encourage people to plant bee friendly flowers, and transform the British landscape.

To Sarah, I've said my thanks to you time and time again over the last year but one more won't hurt! Thank you!
