Review: Living Nature Vitalising Exfoliating Peel

I used up the last of my face mask stash last month so knew that I'd be picking a new one for my My Pure post this month. After a good old trawl through the website, I picked Living Nature Vitalising Exfoliating Peel*.
This is my first Living Nature product and I was really looking forward to using it as I've read a lot of positive reviews about the brand.
Living Nature is a brand from New Zealand, founded 25 years ago by a lady called Suzanne Hall and has now become a popular natural skincare brand around the world.
Suzanne once said that they use ingredients that "...protect and nurture the skin exactly the way nature intended." Sounds like my kind of skincare!

I like my clay based masks for drawing out impurities but what made me pick this one in particular is that it works to lift and remove dead skin cells to leave a brighter, smoother complexion. I've recently found that the texture on my cheeks has, for whatever reason, taken a downturn and its bothered me. I wanted something that would target this area and improve it!

The peel itself is more like a light gel. Once applied in a thin layer on the face, its clear and barely noticeable- which can only be a disaster if you forget to tell you husband that you had put it on and he kisses you on the cheek haha!
Anyway the peel has a light citrus scent to it due to the orange, grapefruit and tea tree oils but its certainly not overwhelming and is something that diminishes fairly quickly.
The fruit oils, along with the added manuka honey, work to effectively remove dead skin cells and deeply nourish skin.
I've been using it once a week and love the way my skin looks and feels afterwards. It needs to be left on for about 15-20 mins and they say that you may feel some slight tingling however I never have.
My skin looks brighter and is so much softer. I find I need to use less facial oil afterwards which is a bonus too.

As for the texture of my cheeks, I really noticed a difference even after the first use. After a month of weekly use, it looks and feels so much healthier.

You can buy Living Nature Vitalising Exfoliating Peel from MyPure here for £27.50 (although I have seen it for less when they run special offers!) for 50ml.

Have you used this before or anything from Living Nature?

  3. I've tried a few products from Living Nature and really like it so far. I like a clay mask but something with a bit more oomph can be a good change... although exfoliating peel does sound mildly terrifying! That's ace that you've seen such a difference in your cheeks :) Look forward to your thoughts on the daily moisturiser xx
